Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara will bid farewell to international cricket after the second test match between India and Sri Lanka on Colombo’s P Sara Oval. This is a big moment for Sri Lankan cricket. Sangakkara’s numbers do all the talking for him. 12350 runs, 38 centuries, 52 half-centuries in 133 Test matches. No wonder skipper Angelo Mathews and his team wants to give retiring legend a winning send off when they take on India in a highly-emotional second cricket Test.
On the other hand, according to Indian cricket skipper Virat Kohli, his team is well-equipped to bounce back against Sri Lanka and the players are “hungry and keen to perform” in the second Test.
The playing squads will be chosen from –
Angelo Mathews, Lahiru Thirimanne, Dushmantha Chameera, Dinesh Chandimal (wk), Nuwan Pradeep, Vishwa Fernando, Rangana Herath, Dimuth Karunaratne, Tharindu Kaushal, Jehan Mubarak, Dilruwan Perera, Kusal Perera, Dhammila Prasad, Kumar Sangakkara, Kaushal Silva, Upul Tharanga
Virat Kohli, Varun Aaron, R Ashwin, Stuart Binny, Harbhajan Singh, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Amit Mishra, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, KL Rahul, Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Ishant Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Murali Vijay, Umesh Yadav
The weather looks fine at 28 degree Celcius with some wind and cloud.
Kumar Sangakkara is retiring and of course Twitter has a lot to say about it
Virat Kohli won the toss and India will bat first.
