Yahoo launches ‘Livetext – Video Messenger’ globally

Yahoo’s new messenger, called ‘Yahoo Livetext – Video Messenger’, combines the familiarity of text messaging with short, muted video clips.

The messaging app doesn’t do live video chat. Users can record and send short video clips of themselves or the anything they want as they type. The app filters out the background sounds and concentrates only on the users facial expressions. Users can add text and emojis to their Livetext messages.

Livetext is now launched globally as compared to its previous launch in only five countries. The messaging app is now available on Android and iOS platforms.
