Who Wore What
We are loving newbie Athiya Shetty’s confidence and ease with clothes and camera. She poses like a pro and wears designer outfits with elan. Easily she out-frocks everyone else this week with these print separates. Love the mid-parted hair and au naturel make-up. It’s been only a slew of pap shots and editorial images but one can easily vouch that Miss Shetty will be the new unrivalled brand magnate and fashion’s fav girl in months to come.
Amrita Rao’s gown looks cheap to say the least. Looks like a Halloween night costume on a budget. Diamonds need couture and not an apology of an outfit. Sorry Amrita but the stylist should have put in more effort in outfit sourcing.
Aditi Rao Hydari’s stunning figure beautifully complements this dramatic Gaurav Gupta gown. However, wish she had done up the hair which falls flat and brings down the look. The make-up and hair should have accented the gown well which is clearly not the case with this look.
Choking in that choker
We get it that the point of a jewellery week is to showcase baubles but this jewellery apparel pairing one just looks off and pointless. Dia Mirza’s neck choker needed an outfit with a much plunging neckline. The jewellery just doesn’t go with the overly ornate outfit and the look needs a lot of editing. The jhumkas make the ensemble ever more distracting. And what’s with the strange hair? Sigh!
Kriti Sanon seems weighed down by the tons of jewellery on her. A choker, a necklace pendant and a maang tika – looks like a bride on steroids. Ideally, this look would have worked wonders with just the maang tike and she could have easily ditched the rest.
When it comes to sartorial flair, Saif Ali Khan always wins hands down. We love how he tonally layered the look from head to toe and completed it with a pair of nifty eye-wear. The midnight blue blazer complements the indigo pants and he wears it with a certain insouciance. Sprezzatura to the T.
