Actors, Akshay Kumar and his reel-brother Sidharth Malhotra are now a part of a video game called Brothers: Clash of Fighters, which is a part of the video game tie-in for the movie Brothers. The game allows you to play as Akshay Kumar or Siddharth Malhotra or select someone else you like from a roster of international fighters and features an arcade street-fighting format featuring one-on-one close combat fights. Brothers: Clash of Fighters is built by VROOVY, which is a joint venture between Hungama and Gameshastra.
The game gives you the option to pick between two modes, the ‘Arcade Mode’ for a quick fight of 3 rounds as well as a ‘Tournament Mode’, which will be launched on the release of the movie, where you must beat opponents, each more difficult than the last, while avoiding getting knocked-out. The aim of the tournament mode is to win the ‘Right to Fight’ championship. Brothers, the movie, will hit theaters on 14th August 2015.
The game also features standard fighting moves as well as combos and finishers. Timing is key, as the right taps and swipes at the right time will execute special moves and inflict maximum damage on the opponents. The game allows you to play in three different arenas including – The Street, The Gym and The R2F Arena. The game follows the trend of combining social and mobile, by including a basic sharing option where those who are excited by their victories in the mobile game can brag online and their posts will be tagged with the #BrothersMovieGame hashtag. There are also daily objectives and quests, gamers can partake in to win movie merchandise and meet the actors. The information of these objectives and quests will be shared via Vroovy’s twitter handle @VroovyGames.
