Kottayam, 16 March, Sreeparvathy K.: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said that Idukki Bishop had not misbehaved with UDF candidate Dean Kuriakose. “Dean has no complaints in this matter. Congress is everyone’s party and so anyone can criticize on the party,” he said.
“The election is an assessment of UDF government’s activities and LDF’s actions against public. CPI (M) failed to understand the public and popular feelings. Government is not afraid to face the opposition on the solar scam case,” added Chief Minister.
He also denied having information on VT Balram’s comments on Idukki Bishop. On the PT Thomas’s withdrawal in the election he said that PT chose to keep away from election to open doors for Youth Congress leader Dean Kuriakose and not because of his declining support.
Oommen Chandy stated that Congress had not dominated allied parties in the front and all have the equal opportunity to express their views in democracy.
