Another trouble brews for Sunny Deol’s Mohalla Assi even before its release. A court in Bihar on Saturday directed the authorities to file an FIR against Sunny Deol, director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi and writer of the movie, Kasinath Singh, saying the movie hurt religious sentiments of people.
Advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha filed a complaint alleging that the trailer was full of curse words, it hurts religious sentiments of Hindus and maligns the image of Varanasi and its traditions, reports Huffington Post.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramachandra Prasad heard the complaint and directed Muzaffarnagar police to file an FIR.
Earlier, a Delhi court too has issued an order to restrain release of Mohalla Assi after a similar complaint was filed by Sarvajan Jagruti Manch, a local organisation in Delhi.
