Mumbai: Salman Khan seems to have already blocked the Eid dates for the upcoming two…
Mumbai: Battle lines are drawn. Bollywood is gearing up its biggest clash of the last decade when Salman Khan’s Sultan takes on Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees on Eid next year. But ask SRK about it and he clearly laughs it off.
“It will be a clash for everyone else but for me and Salman, it’s not one,” he told reporters at an event. Also, known for his wit and humour, the Badshah in an interview to a leading daily exclaimed that it’s more a director’s prerogative to decide when to release a film and how to present it. He also added that if the producers want to release a film like Sultan with a film like Raees, then ‘God bless them. Salman and I have no issues’.
The actor took the clash on his stride and also explained that there isn’t and there can be no bad blood between the three Khans. At the status of their films’ impending clash next Eid, he joked saying, “At the end of the day, what might happen is maybe Salman and I, personally- despite our producers telling us otherwise- say, ‘Chalo, Salman, you promote Raees, and I will promote Sultan’. We have been here too long.”
Salman on the other hand, in an interview with dna, exclaimed, “I don’t know what’s going to happen, but both Raees and Sultan are scheduled as Eid releases. It is perhaps the best thing to happen. People will try to accommodate both the films by building more theatres and lots more screens. There will be more excitement for fans. SRK and I will work much harder and pray that both films will be better. I love Shah Rukh a lot and I don’t think he needs to worry at all because the last time our movies came together he had beaten me.
Seems the Raees-Sultan clash has nothing to do with the two Khans who have wished each other well.
