New DELHI (DD): Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday ruled out any re-think and backtracking on the land acquisition front, defending government’s decision so far and dismissing outrightly opposition charges of high-handedness.
The Cabinet Committee of Parliamentary Affairs has already recommended prorogation of Rajya Sabha for re-promulgation of the land acquisition amendment ordinance.
Venkaiah Naidu also said the Land Bill is in favour of farmers.
He also slammed Congress for its blame of bulldozing the parliament on land bill.
The bill has already passed by the Lok Sabha with nine amendments.
