Lucknow(Indilens web team): According to reports on Friday, Dehradun-Varanasi Janata Express, en-route to Varanasi, derailed at Bachrawana, Rae Bareli in UP. Engine and two bogies derailed as breaks failed to deploy in time, says Railways.
Unconfirmed reports say around 35 might have died in the accident.
So far, with conflicting reports, at least 15 casualties feared and over 150 injuries are reported. Evacuation is underway and hospitals in Lucknow are put up on high alert.

“There could be more casualties in the mishap,” Divisional Commissioner, Lucknow, Mahesh Gupta told PTI. The accident occurred around 9.30 AM near Bachhrawan Railway station, about 50 km from state capital, Lucknow.
