KM Mani wants Idukki seat, Chief Minister Rejects It

Thiruvananthapuram, 11 March, Sreeparvathy K.: Kerala Congress(M) Chairman and Finance Minister KM Mani demanded Idukki seat along with Kottayam seat for his party. He announced the decision after the meeting in KPCC Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. He added that Kerala Congress is stern on the decision as Idukki is its stronghold and thus it’s their right for the Idukki constituency.

KM Mani and Kerala Congress(J) leader PJ Joseph are pressurizing for Idukki seat and said that discussions are still continuing and Congress should take a decision. “We will not go to Delhi to have discussions with High Command, it is the duty of Congress,” said Mani.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy announced that Congress cannot give Idukki seat to Kerala Congress and asked KM Mani to accept the decision as per the current political situation in Kerala. He also announced in the UDF meeting that KPCC President VM Sudheeran and KM Mani will have private meeting.
