New Delhi, 26 Nov 2014 (MMN): To dispel the distrust Muslims harbour towards police, the Jamiat-e-Ulema-i-Hind (A) has decided to open coaching centres in various parts of Uttar Pradesh where Muslim youths will trained to pass the police exams.
Jamiat president Maulana Arshad Madni said that experienced teachers would be hired for the purpose. He also asked the state governments to pave the way for Muslim youths into the police force.
In its executive council meeting recently held in Deobnad, Jamiat blamed the new government at center for rise in communalism in the country. It pledged that it will make efforts in reducing communal tempers with the collaboration of fellow compatriots. Maulana Arshad Madni said the absence of Muslims in inadequate numbers in the police force is one of the major causes of police behaving in partisan manner during communal violence . It can be corrected by inducting Muslim youths in the law and order machinery.
