CBI to file revision petition on Lavalin case

Thiruvananthapuram, January 30, Sreeparvathy K.: CBI has decided to file a revision petition on Lavalin case against the Thiruvananthapuram CBI Special court’s decision. Thiruvananthapuram CBI court has gave the order to acquit all the convicts including CPI(M) leader Pinarayi Vijayan on November 5. CBI had a three month time to appeal against the judgement which was to be end as of February 4.

Meanwhile, yet another judge abstained himself from the SNC-Lavalin case, Justice ML Joseph the third judge to do so. Justice K Harilal and Justice Thomas P Joseph were already opted out of the case.

K Sudhakaran MP came up with the remarks that the abstaining of three judges from Lavalin case is a dishonour to the judiciary and he also demanded that the judges should resign. There were many controversies regarding the case.
