Bangalore, 21 July-2014, CNN-IBN: Two weeks after a 6-year-old girl was raped in her school premises in Bangalore, there is no stopping the outrage. ABVP workers protested outside the school in Bangalore where the incident took place.
ABVP workers tried to break the security barricades put into place. When the police tried to stop them from climbing the barricades, the protest turned violent.
BJP’s women wing also protested outside Townhall in Bangalore. Some college students from the city also joined the protests.
BJP workers have also planned a march from Freedom Park in the city to the Chief Minister’s house.
On Sunday, the first arrest in the case was made when a skating instructor from the school was arrested. The accused will be presented in court on Monday. The police are still looking for a second staffer.
