Gaza, 19 July-2014(Indilens web team): Eleven more Palestinians were killed Saturday in cross-border bombardment between Israel and the Islamic Hamas movement taking the toll in Gaza to 381 on the 13th day of an Israeli operation, Xinhua reported.
A health ministry spokesman said that pre-dawn and early morning airstrikes claimed the lives of 11 Palestinians in the northern and southern parts of Gaza.
The Israeli army started late Thursday a limited ground operation in Gaza after 11 days of bloody air strikes to end rocket fire into Israel.
The operation came after Egyptian and international efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza failed.
Hamas warned that Israel would pay a heavy price for commencing a ground offensive on Gaza. Gaza medical officials said the attacks from Israel Saturday killed 33 people, mostly civilians, in Beit Hanoun, neighbouring Beit Lahiya and in Khan Younis in the south.
Khamis Shaath, a Khan Younis paramedic, rushed to attend to the casualties and discovered two of the dead were his nephews while his wife and son had been wounded, colleagues said. Collapsing in grief, he had to be taken to a hospital himself.
On July 8, Israel started an all-out aerial operation dubbed Operation Protective Edge to stop rocket fire from Gaza. Apart from the 381 civil Palestinians killed including 121 children, 2,260 have been injured.
The Israeli forces from air, land and sea systematically, and with U.S. planes, are again raining death and destruction on defenseless civilians. Meanwhile, the shameful passivity of Cairo is dishonorable to the dignity and national pride as endowed by President Nasser. Sadat paid dearly as he stained the Arab’s honor, so did Mubarak, so did Morsi for his stuffy politics, and the current one who is doing “Tango July” with Israel’s ‘state terrorism’, knows that his fate hangs in the balance.
The sad and tragic realities of the Mideast conflict were previously exposed at a top-secret summit held by Putin, Bush and Olmert with the Lord in 2006–just after the asymmetric war between the Israeli forces and the Resistance–The Russian leader asked God: “Do you think there will ever be detent between Russia and the U. S.?” The Lord replied. “Yes, but not in your lifetime.” then Bush queried: “Do you think it will ever be possible for the U.S. to maintain strong defense to prevail as the world’s police?” The Lord’s response was “Yes, but not in your lifetime.” Olmert then put this final question to God: “Do you think there will ever be peace between Arabs and Israelis?” To this the Lord answered: “Yes, but not in my lifetime.” [Input source:Gulfnews]
