18 June-2014, NATALIE MATTHEWS/ELLE: To promote the European leg of their upcoming joint tour, Beyoncé and Jay Z just released a new version of that “On the Run” trailer they unveiled last month. (In the process, they became the first people to release a movie trailer-style video to hype up a concert, because, you know, Bey and Jay are first at everything.)
The new “On the Run” cut still features the same set of clips (Bey and Jay robbing a bank, Bey floating in a pool full of dollar bills, as one does) and the same soundtrack from the original video, but it’s more distilled and has less dialogue to interrupt my groooove. Sure, they might be toying with our emotions, but even if there’s a lot of overlap, it still feels exciting to me, because everything related to this tour is exciting to me:
