Bhubaneswar, 6 June-2014: The state government is mulling over a proposal to set up a Printing Press Museum within the premises of the Government Printing Press in Cuttack. The museum would showcase the evolution of printing techniques in the state. Earlier, in April 2014, the state government had shifted two printing machines from Deogarh to Cuttack.
On his visit to the Government Printing Press, Commerce and Transportation Minister Ramesh Chandra Majhi reviewed the infrastructure of the building and proposed a complete revamp, from repainting to plastering of walls. Similarly, he also focused on keeping the surroundings clean by flushing out the garbage within the premises. The minister also assured different employee unions to take fulfill their grievances in a phased manner. Majhi was accompanied by Press director Mr Abhay, joint director and the assistant director.
