Bhubaneswar, 4 June-2014: The Central Electricity Supply Utility of Odisha (CESU) has launched SMS and e-mail services for its customers. So, consumers having three-phase and above categories will now receive SMSs on their mobiles or e-mail addresses containing information like the monthly bill amount and the bill payment due date.
The consumers paying their electricity bill through internet and at computerised bill collection centers at various places in CESU area are also getting their payment details through this service, according to a CESU Press release on Tuesday.
The forms are available at all JE, SDO, Division offices and at the CESU websites, www.cescoorissa.com or www.cesuodisha.com. CESU has requested its over 18.5 lakh customers in districts like Cuttack, Puri, Dhenkanal, Jagatsingpur , Kendrapara , Jajpur , Angul, Nayagarh and Khurda to submit details regarding consumer name, consumer number, mobile number and e-mail address in prescribed form to their local electricity sections and sub-divisions for free registration, following which consumer will get such information regularly from CESU.
