Patna, 2 June, TNN: Former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi on Sunday alleged that the Jitan Ram Manjhi government has no grip over administration as he secured a majority last week with the help of the RJD. The JD (U), he recalled, had contested the 2005 and 2010 assembly elections in alliance with BJP against the RJD.
In a statement here, Modi said former CM Nitish Kumar nominated Manjhi as his successor though he did not have the mandate to govern the state. People gave mandate in 2010 to the NDA alliance and, now, Nitish has manipulated it by seeking RJD and Congress’s help for the JD (U) government’s survival.
As the government working has become tardy, investors are also not coming to Bihar, law and order has collapsed and development works have been suspended, Modi alleged. People are getting wrong message about the government as the officers are not listening to the ministers. There is political instability and this has led to administrative anarchy in the state, Modi said.
Modi has decided to resume his ‘janata darbar’ at his 1, Polo Road residence from Tuesday. Due to the Lok Sabha election, it was suspended in March. Modi said he would hear the grievances of the common man and try to persuade the officers concerned to solve them.
