The movie was wholly shot in South Africa as per the background and context of the movie is concerned. This movie not only taken the Bengali film industry on a global platform but also accelerated the tourism. It has been commented by the South African tourism that Bengalis are much more interested to visit the place being inspired by the movie.
The movie was shot at some of eye grabbing locations such as Blyde River, Elands River valley and Drakensberg Mountain. The movie was released in the month of December has generated a lot of inquisitiveness among the people and has helped creating cognizance regarding South Africa.
Nevertheless it is being hoped that the tollywood films will go global and help people know different places and cultures in the mean time. Especially, helping in creating a global podium for the exhibition of Bengali movies.
It is mentioned that “Tollywood” is a portmanteau of the words Tollygunge, a neighbourhood of Kolkata (Calcutta) where most of the Bengali film studios are located for shooting and other movie related works.
