Bhubaneswar, 15 May-2014, Abhijit Saha: The Odisha Secondary School Teachers’ Association (OSSTA) has requested quick elimination of BSE president of Odisha, Dakhya Prasad Nanda from his post.
The teachers’ association has deliberated to arrange a huge State-wide protest against the BSE for playing with the future of High School students.
The secretary of OSSTA, P C Mohanty while talking with reporters has alleged that the BSE in the attire of examination modification had augmented the pain of matriculation examinees diversely. He said that the error found in the results of the HSC examinations declared on 30th April has further shocked the students. He also said that even the re-evaluated results published on 10th May were not free of error.
The association came to the conclusion that Nanda and his team in the BSE as well as the School and Mass Education Department of the state are responsible for the sharp decline in the reputation of BSE. The OSSTA members alleged that the shortfall in faith between the BSE and the students is growing every year due to the poor conduction of the HSC examination.
The members of the association have also recommended that the proposed supplementary examination, which has been scheduled to start from 31st May, should be rescheduled because several students are still uncertain about their annual HSC results.
