MTNL Makes Incoming Calls Free on Roaming for Mumbai and Delhi


Mumbai, January 27, Priyanka Bhowmick: MTNL (Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Ltd.) officially announced free incoming calls on roaming for Mumbai and Delhi circles. Union Telecom Minister, Kapil Sibal, announced the availability of this service in a press conference in Mumbai. The benefit of availing this service is customers will enjoy free incoming calls while roaming in their own circles without taking any recharge or STV. Outgoing calls will be charged at existing rates. This service will be active 26th January, 2014 onwards.

Along with MTNL, BSNL also plans to introduce free incoming calls while in roaming all across India, but customers will have to pay Rs.1 per day to avail this free service. BSNL is supposed to announce this facility very soon.
