Brahmapur, 6 May-2014, Abhijit Saha: Three districts of southern Odisha areas will have 13 more warehouses for storage of agricultural products soon.
Authorities have today said that the new warehouses will have a capacity of 2,500 metric tons. They will be coming up in Ganjam, Kandhamal and Gajapati districts and would be set up on an Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
Tending sorted out here by, the Ganjam district civil supplies officer S K Mohanty while speaking to a workshop organized by the International Finance Corporation said that building these warehouses in these areas would help simplify the concern of storing paddy in these regions.
The warehouses would be constructed at Patrapur, Jagannathprasad, Bhanjanagar, Sorada, Rangeilunda and Khallikote in the district of Ganjam and Daringbadi, Tikabali and Tumudibandh in the district of Kandhamal.
Apart from these, smaller warehouses with storage limit of 500 MT would be built in each block of Ganjam district for storing PDS products.
