CCTV Cameras Installation Starts From Today In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, February 18, Abhijit Saha: Installation of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) has starts from today in the state capital Bhubaneswar. This is the first phase of installing these advanced CCTV in the city. Cameras are being installed at various strategic locations of the city under the city surveillance system on experimental basis said by sources.

This project is handed over to the State Police and Housing Welfare Corporation. They will install these advanced cameras at some of the major locations in the city in a phased manner and is expected to be completed by March this year.

Under the present scheme at least 30 most sensitive places in Bhubaneswar will be equipped with these CCTV cameras. Total five agencies both national and international will be involved in installing the CCTV cameras at different places of the state capital. After reviewing the quality of the agencies, the commissioner of Police will select the agency that will finally carry out the project said by the sources.

A state of the art monitoring system has also been set up at the building of Police Commissioner for monitoring and transmission of footages.
