Hyderabad, 20 April-2014(DC): AIMIM’s star campaigner Akbaruddin Owaisi sought votes from Chandrayangutta, and said that he does not have any ill-will against the people of Barkas due to the murderous attack against him.
Referring to the attack he said, “I do not have even an iota of ill will against the people of Barkas in my heart. Some vested interests are trying to create differences among us and I strongly believe that the people of Barkas will never fall in their trap.”
Claiming that he is confident that people will not allow his blood to be shed again, he said he did not lose his confidence despite the attack.
Maintaining that his controversial speeches at Adilabad and Nizamabad reflect the heartburn among Muslims, he claimed that through the speeches he proved that Muslims are not voiceless and communal forces will never succeed in stifling the voice of the community.
Narrating the pain and trauma he underwent during his 40 days of jail at Adilabad immediately after the murderous attack on him, Mr Akbaruddin said that he could not sleep or walk as a bullet remained in his body.
“The jail authorities did not even provide proper medicare for me during my imprisonment,” he added.
Highlighting the attacks on Muslims in Gujarat, Muzaffarnagar and the demolition of Babri Masjid and the leaders in these attacks not being arrested, he asked the electorate to strengthen his hands to fight against communal forces.
