New Delhi, 26 July-2014(ANI): Finally, in the talk show Ek Mulaqat of DD News, Salman…
Arbaaz Khan is currently shooting for a Telegu film, and was also a part of Sohail Khan’s latest release. Although the actor feels acting comes to him naturally, he says he wants to direct more movies. Here he talks about the creative control a film-maker enjoys, sharing screen space with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and more.
How is Nawazuddin as a co-actor?
He is professional and talented. He comes prepared on the sets. He interacts with his co-stars. We used to improvise [on the scenes] as well. Since he is so talented and well-prepared, I had to work harder at whatever I was doing. He is a responsive actor.
Does working with actors like him make things easier for you?
Anywhere in the world, if you have people who know how to do their job, and they do it well, it is an asset. If he is playing a character the way it needs to be played, or even adding more to it, it makes a big difference.
Salman wanted to be part of Freaky Ali but Sohail chose Arbaaz instead
Freaky Ali review by Deepanjana Pal: Nawazuddin to the rescue
Which role comes easy to you — actor, director or producer?
I have been an actor for some time, so I can do that effortlessly. However, I also like being behind the scenes, and playing the role of a film-maker. I like telling stories. I want to direct more films. You have more creative control when you do that.
What kind of movies would you like to make?
It could be a musical, action or a comedy film. I don’t have any preferences when it comes to genres. I just want to make good, entertaining films.
