Karachi, 19 April-2014(GeoTv): Senior Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir was shot in Karachi in Pakistan on Saturday evening as per reports from Geo TV.
Unknown armed men ambushed the Geo TV Executive Editor’s vehicle at Natha Khan bridge. Mir received bullet injuries and has now been shifted to a private hospital. Mir, one of Pakistan’s well known journalist, was traveling from Karachi airport to his office when the incident happened.
The report says that four gunmen on two motorcycles opened fire on Mir’s car a few kilometers away from the police station near the airport. Geo News Islamabad bureau chief, Rana Jawad said that Mir spoke to him after the incident and revealed that the gunmen were following him and continue to fire at his car.
