Gurgaon: Abhishek Behl,Heavy rains lashed Gurgaon on Thursday again forcing city police to issue an alert asking people to drive carefully as reports of congestion poured in from several parts of the corporate hub.
On Wednesday, showers brought Gurgaon to a standstill during the morning rush hour as waterlogged roads led to snarls on almost all major routes, including the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway.
“It is again raining in Gurgaon, visibility is poor. Please drive carefully, switch on the headlights, and maintain lane discipline,” Gurgaon Police tweeted.
By 9.30am heavy congestion was reported on Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway from Ambience Mall to the Airtel building on the other side of the highway. Slight waterlog and traffic snarls were also reported at Sector 31 and Jharsa cut.Traffic at Rajiv Chowk and Hero Honda Chowk was also affected due to the intense rain. Traffic slowed down on Sohna Road as well but there was no jam was reported on these junctions.
Police and district authorities said that they are keeping a close watch on the situation, and like Wednesday adequate manpower has been deployed at key locations to prevent traffic snarls and gridlocks.

“I left for office early as the sky was full of clouds and reached office safely. But people should avoid getting caught on the roads now. Rain in full mood,” wrote Surender Sindu on Facebook.
Another Gurgaon resident said that waterlogging can be seen everywhere so it is time the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) should find a solution to this problem or outsource the job to other.
“A boat company should start operating a service in the monsoon season. The business would be good,” Neha, a resident of Uniworld City, said.
