Rupee recoups 3 paise against dollar in early trade

The rupee recovered by 3 paise to 67.08 against the U.S. dollar in early trade on Thursday at the Interbank Foreign Exchange on increased selling of the American currency by exporters and banks.

Forex dealers said foreign fund inflows and a higher opening in the domestic equity market also supported the domestic unit.

The rupee had depreciated by 5 paise to end at 67.11 per dollar in yesterday’s trade amid rebound in the U.S. currency in global markets.

Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex rose by 77.99 points, or 0.27 per cent, to 28,137.93 in early trade.
