KK or Krishnakumar Kunnath made a name for himself when he came out with his pop album Pal with Leslie Lewis. And then Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam changed things forever. He sang Tadap Tadap, and his voice resonated with almost all broken hearts across India.

KK’s voice was fresh and young compared to his predecessors Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu, which sounded worn and without the zeal that his voice had. He’s sung some of the best songs for the biggest actors in Bollywood from Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan to Akshay Kumar. He will always be remembered by every ’90s kid for Pal and Yaaron which gave most of us school kids friendship goals.
