Sindhu cruises into semis; one step away from a medal

Shuttler P.V. Sindhu, on Tuesday, defeated World No 2. Wang Yihan to seal the berth to semifinals and keeping alive India’s hopes to win a medal in the Rio Olympics.

The Indian shuttler scored 22-20, 21-19 against her Chinese rival, but was a hard game to win. Wang gave a tough fight by often levelling scores and earning more than Sindhu.
