Talking about the 64-year-old actor, director Kapil Kaustubh Sharma said in a statement, “Zeenatji’s character in the series is glamorous and stylish and she herself in the reel as well as in real life is always known as a style icon. Since this character reflects her persona, I was very particular about her look in the series. We wanted to treat the audience with fusion of contemporary meets nostalgia. It was heartening to see how Zeenatji herself took active part in minute details of styling from hair to shoes of her character named Joanna.”

“The hats and beret with straight hair, which she wore in films like Yaadon Ki Baraat, Heera Panna, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Aashiq Hun Baharo Ka became a sensation in 70s. We have again used similar hats, beret along with large goggles, something like Don, The Great Gambler. We went for long skirts with slits, tops with scarves. Hats off to her that even after decades; she still can carry the same look with such elegance and grace,” he added.
