Two of the militants who attacked a CRPF patrol on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway killed

NEW DELHI: Eight CRPF personnel and two militants were killed and more than 21 jawans injured when a group of militants attacked a bus carrying security forces on the Srinagar-Jammu highway in the Pampore area on Saturday afternoon.

CRPF spokesman Bhavesh Kumar said the bus came under attack from “armed militants near Frestibal.”

The bus was travelling from south Kashmir to Srinagar when three militants got out of a car travelling in the opposite direction at a sharp curve in the road and opened fire around 4.50 p.m.

The exchange of fire lasted for more than one hour.
