WhatsApp latest beta lets you quote messages in your reply

The quote feature can be used reply to one-on-one and group chats within WhatsApp. Once you select a message you want to quote, the feature will appear next to other option: Star, reply, copy, info, forward and delete, according to androidpolice.

Tapping on the quote option will display the message you want to quote along with a reply section. There is also an option to cancel if you pick the wrong quote or you change your mind.

WhatsApp for iOS will soon get GIF image support
Your reply will appear with the quoted message and will be colour coordinated with users names. This works especially well in chaotic group chats. The feature lets you quote anyone in WhatsApp chat, including yourself.
