New York(NERVE): Facebook might soon launch a new app that would enable users to know…
The OnePlus 3 has finally been official slotted for a June 15 global launch date. OnePlus posted the teaser image below on China’s social network Weibo.
While the date is a day later than the originally rumoured June 14 window, we do know that the event will take place in a virtual reality space station, for which OnePlus distributed 30,000 Loop VR headsets. The giveaway had the headsets on sale for just Re 1 on Amazon India, from June 3 to June 7.
The teaser image posted online states the event will begin 10 am (7:30 am IST) in China, and will be available in the country the very next day. It’s not yet clear when the OnePlus 3 will reach other countries as well. It’s also important to note that, while OnePlus devices have traditionally been sold through the invite system, the OnePlus 3 being on the market a day after launch instead indicates the company may be moving to a flash sale or open sale model instead. Of course, there’s no guarantee it’ll hold true for India as well.
Additionally, another leak has surfaced that details two versions of the OnePlus 3. The certification listing on Tenaa, indicates that, alongside the expected 4GB RAM variant, we may also see a 6GB RAM model of the smartphone. It’s likely the 4GB RAM will accompany the 32GB storage version of the OnePlus 3, and the 6GB of RAM will only pair with the 64GB version.
Aside from those two details, reports claim that OnePlus 3 may ditch the fingerprint scanner in favour of an iris scanner, while another leak suggests that the device might include a physical home button which could double up as a fingerprint reader. The new flagship killer will sport a 5.5-inch
