 BASANTPUR, February 10, Somitr Keshav: Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh launched a toll free telephone helpline for public to check corruption.

The government would bring more service under the Public Service Guarantee Act and the identity of the complainant would be kept confidential, said Virbhadra Singh addressing a public meeting at Basantpur in the Shimla rural constituency.

He also inaugurated and laid stone for six schemes in his home constituency that will be developed as a role model in the State. He further urged farmers take up vegetable and fruit cultivation and dairy farming in a big way to give boost to rural economy. He said Rs 100 crore Dr YS Parmar Kisan Swarozgar Yojana would be launched next year under which 4,700 polyhouses covering 8.30 lakh square metre area be constructed.
