Pratyusha Banerjee death: Post-mortem report reveals it is ‘clear case of suicide’

Mumbai: The post-mortem report of Balika Vadhu actress Pratyusha Banerjee’s body reveals ‘suffocation’ as the cause of death, reports ANI. The reports also mentions ‘asphyxia’ and that ligature marks were also seen around her neck.

The post-mortem report has confirmed that it is a ‘clear case of suicide’, says ANI sources. However, even though no foul play can be seen, it is not completely ruled out as well, said the sources.

24-year-old Pratyusha was found dead at her home on Friday in a suspected case of suicide. Reason for the extreme step is not yet known, but Banerjee was reportedly facing problems in her relationship with boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh.

Her boyfriend was questioned by Mumbai police on Saturday.

According to police, the actress, prima facie, committed suicide in her flat in ‘At Harmony’ building at around 1700 hours yesterday after which she was taken to Kokilaben Hospital in suburban Andheri (Mumbai) by her friend where she was declared dead. Also, no suicide note was found from the flat.
