Odisha, February 9, Abhijit Saha: Rahul Gandhi on the very first day during his two day visit to Odisha blamed the BJD on various fronts. He said that the people of Odisha had remained backward in spite of the state being wealthy in mineral stocks. He accused the BJD led Odisha government for failure to spend central funds for the sake of the people.
The congress leader said that huge amount of money has been sanctioned for the state of Odisha for implementing the central schemes and under various welfare schemes in the last 5 years but the BJD government did not utilized those schemes. He blamed the present government in Odisha for looting the food from the school kids. Over 10 lacs of youth had remained unemployed and about 20 lacs of people had been affected by the chit fund scam, he also added.
Blaming the BJD led Chief Minister, he pointed over the subject of multi crore mining scam. Rahul Gandhi accused the BJD government upon failures on various sides, urged the people in Salipur to throw the corrupt BJD government in Odisha. He also said that he observed the people of Odisha did not receive the benefit of mining.
Rahul Gandhi did not say anything against the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
He said that Odisha is the richest state in India since it has got huge mineral resources but the BJD government lacks any commitment to provide employment and pass on the fund to the people. He also said that money vanish from the middle that are earned from the mineral sectors.
Earlier during the day he kept waving his hand in his road show from Biju Patnaik Airport to Bhatapada. He also stopped at some places and interacted with the people.
