We will bring back RSS to shorts again: Lalu Prasad Yadav

Patna(IANS): RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Sunday commented on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s decision to replace its khaki shorts with brown trousers by saying that “we will bring them (RSS) back to half pant”. The announcement of transition from khaki shorts to full pants has been made on Sunday morning by RSS General Secretary Suresh Joshi (Bhaiyyaji) in Nagaur.


The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Sunday morning announced to replace its khaki shorts with brown trousers.

Maintaining his funny side of politics Lalu said, “RSS half pant chodke full pant main aa gaya, woh sab up to date hogaya, satta mil gaya, phir inko half pant main lana hai (After coming into power, RSS has updated itself by leaving shorts and choosing full pant as their uniform. We will bring them back to half pant again)”.

Lalu Yadav who is against Bhartiya Janata Party since last 25 years also said that his party will remove BJP government from all over India. On Saturday when Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi visited Bihar to commemorate Patna High Court, Lalu Yadav was absent. Report suggest that the RJD chief was not invited for the venue where PM Modi also gave a speech.

On Sunday morning the right-wing Hindu outfit suddenly changed its decision for changing the dress code almost after 90 years of its foundation. The details of when the new uniform will become functional will be worked out soon. Report suggest that special care would be taken to ensure that the new trousers would be comfortable while doing physical activities.
Earlier there have been slight changes in the RSS uniform more than a decade ago.

It is said that the white shirt replaced a khaki shirt during the tenure of RSS founder Dr K B Hedgewar. In 1970 the Sangh changed its heavy shoes to a lighter ones and also replaced leather belt with a cotton belt.
