Listen to us, we are not your enemy, we do not hate you, Rahul tells Modi

NEW DELHI: AIADMK members created a ruckus in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, demanding action against former Union Minister P. Chidambaram’s son Karti over the Aircel-Maxis issue. Speaker Sumitra Mahajan allowed them to raise the matter later in the day.

As soon as the House met, AIADMK members trooped the Well, shouting slogans and demanding action from the government.

Amid the din, Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said the government had no problem in discussing the matter in any manner and also take necessary action.

1:11 pm: On the EPF issue, Finance Mininster Arun Jaitley, in the Lok Sabha, says, “The Govt. will address them during the reply on Budget.” Earlier, Mr. Jaitley, in a post-Budget interaction with industry associations, said that the tax proposal was not aimed at revenue generation, but help everyone get a pension in their old age.

12:30 pm: Lok Sabha adjourned briefly following Opposition uproar over alleged inflammatory statement by Union Minister Ram Shankar Katheria in Agra.

11:45 am: Rajya Sabha adjourned till noon following uproar by AIADMK MPs on Chidambaram issue and Congress protest over alleged Gujarat land scam.

11:29 am: There should be a inquiry in the Gujarat land issue involving Gujarat CM’s daughter, says Ghulam Nabi Azad (Congress) in the Rajya Sabha.

11:13 am: Rajya Sabha adjourned till 11.22 a.m.
