HSL Mobile launches their first ever Hammer Screen phone in India

HSL Mobile launched the Y501 Plus today. The smartphone is priced at Rs 3,999 and will be exclusively on sale via Snapdeal. The unique property of the handset is something the company calls “Hammerscreen”, which they claim is unaffected even after breaking Walnuts.

Naresh Yadav, Director, India of Consumer Experience, HSL Mobile said, “We are very happy to introduce Y501 Plus in India which is specifically designed and developed keeping Indian consumers’ need for vernacular languages solution and a tougher screen at the centre.” Speaking about company’s India market strategy, he said, “In India, we have chosen to serve our customers via e-commerce to be able to be effective and efficient while being extraordinarily affordable. We rely on word of mouth and customer advocacy.”

Actor Preity Zinta is the Brand Ambassador for the company and will actively get associated with the promotions on digital space for the Y501.
The handset comes with good features for the offered price. It flaunts a 5-inch IPS HD display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It also includes 8GB internal storage and 32 GB expandable storage. The phone is powered by 2000 mAh which ensures up to 18 hours of talk time on 2G coverage.

In addition to the “Hammerscreen” claim, HSL offers 1 Year Touch Replacement Warranty. The company says it has already established more than 400 customer support centres in India.
