Kolkata: Filmmakers tend to wait for this superstar to get free or give dates to do their films. However, there is a filmmaker whose one phone call made Amitabh Bachchan leave his present shoot and rush to the former’s sets. He is none other than Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Bachchan, who is shooting for Ribhu Dasgupta’s TE3N in Kolkata, had to leave the shoot midway and immediately rush to the sets of Wazir where Chopra wanted to sing and shoot a song for him. When asked Chopra about this, he recalled of having gone through 200 songs but not finding the one that explained the relationship between the two characters of Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan like Rochak Kohli’s ‘Attrangi Yaari’ did.
Chopra was so elated that he could not help calling Big B immediately to shoot this song. “This producer (points at Vidhu Vinod Chopra) keeps doing something or the other, I am currently shooting in Kolkata, Vidhu called me at night and said, ‘this is the song, you have to sing it, and shoot for it as well.’ He doesn’t care that someone else’s film is being shot. So here I am because I can’t say no to Vidhu,” Bachchan said, as reported by NDTV
