Chennai(PTI): Former BCCI chief and ICC chairman N Srinivasan has donated Rs 2 crore to flood relief in Chennai, reports Cricketcountry.
The controversial India Cements managing director, who is embroiled in a number of legal cases related to betting and spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League (IPL), personally handed over the cheque to Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa.
Tamil Nadu cricketers like Abhinav Mukund, Baba Aparajith and Baba Indrajith have been actively involved in relief work and distributing essentials among those affected by the calamity. Indian spinner R Ashwin donated his Man of the Series award as well.
N Srinivasan has recently been removed as ICC chairman, and lost his position as BCCI President a few months ago on a Supreme Court directive.
