Archana, an upcoming heroine of Sandalwood, is very happy about grabbing an opportunity to act in a bi-lingual film Avadhi also being made in Telugu as Kathanam. Archana, who acted in Kannada films such as Mandya Star, Mast Mohabbat and Swarga to Naraka, is brimming with confidence about the success of her latest film Avadhi. She claims that Avadhi provides her the much-needed opportunity to prove her mettle in Sandalwood as well as in Telugu film industry.
Archana made the debut in Sandalwood with Ondu Romantik Crime Kathe while she was a 9th standard student. “Now, I am II PUC student. I happened to see an advertisement in a local Kannada paper inviting applications from prospective heroines for Ondu Romantik Crime Kathe. Later, Rajesh, a film coordinator, helped me to get a chance to act in Mandya Star. My other films Mast Mohabba and Swarga to Naraka are also good films that have all ingredients to provide entertainment for the audiences,’’ recalls Archana.
She feels that there will be no hassles for her to understand Kannada since she has been staying in Bengaluru for more than a decade with her parents. “I can speak Kannada with little bit difficulty but understand it without any problems. I hope to get more and more opportunities in Kannada as well as Telugu films,’’ she says.
50 % shooting of Avadhi was held in Madikeri and Bengaluru for 22 days. Sai Kiran, Manjunath, Ramesh Bhat and Srinivas Prabhu are the star cast of this film.
